The Add Activity form provides the means of scheduling activities for contacts, referrals, listings, and closings. The fields available on the Add Activity form change with Activity Type selected. Written communication-based activities (Emails, Letters, Envelopes, Labels and Postcards) and Recurring activities both have specialized requirements that must be defined as a part of the Add Activity process.

Description |
Select a description from the drop-down list, or enter one in the text box. To add a description to the drop-down list for future use, click the Add link and specify a value. The description will appear as the first row item in the Activities tabs and in the Calendar Landing screen. |

If you are a member of a team or group account, the other members of your team will be available via this drop-down. |

Link to Listing/Closing |
If the activity is related to a listing or closing, you can link the activity to it. Once the activity has been marked done, you can choose to have it appear on the appropriate service report. |

Date |
Enter a date manually or use the date pop-up control. If the activity is linked to a listing or closing, the Auto-adjust dates when changes occur to check box will be visible. This allows you to make the activity date dependent on important listing or closing dates. |

Time |
Appointments only. |

Recurrence |
Selecting any value other than Does not recur displays the recurrence options for the selected time unit (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly). The options include the frequency with which the activity will occur within the chosen period and the date or total number of occurrences at which the activity will stop recurring. Only visible when None is selected in the Link to section. |

Reminder |
Appointments only. The Reminder field enables you to choose a time before the activity is due to have a reminder emailed to the address specified in your My Account settings. Select Remind me by email to ensure you receive an appointment reminder. If you also use the Google Calendar, you can set up Top Producer Google Sync to receive additional reminder types, including mobile alerts on your device and pop-up reminders. If instead you use the Outlook Calendar, you can set up Top Producer Outlook Sync to receive these additional reminder types. |

Drop from Activities |
Stop an activity from appearing in the Activities Summary screen by specifying how long after the activity date you want it to drop off. Selecting Do not drop off ensures that the activity remains in the Activities Summary screen until you mark it done if you are viewing a specific activity type. The Do not drop off setting is not applicable when viewing All Activities on the Activities Summary screen. |

Select from High, Medium and Low. This setting appears on the Activity Details screen, but is currently not used for searching/sorting in Top Producer 8i. |

Email templates only. If set to Yes, an email message based on the template will be sent to the contact on the activity day without you having to preview it and send. If set to No, an activity will appear in the My Business portlet, from which you will be able to preview, edit, and send the email. |
