Editing Activities

Activities can be edited from the Activity Details screen. You can edit activities linked to a specific record (contact, referral, listing, or closing) by accessing them from the Activities tabs within their respective records.

To edit an activity:

  1. Open the Activities Summary screen. How?triangle.gif

  2. Click the row of the activity you want to edit to display the Activity Details screen.

    tip_icon2.gif Tip: To view multiple activities, select the check boxes beside the activities you want to view, and then click the Mass Open Activities link. Click the <Prev and Next> links at the bottom of the screen to view the selected activities.

  3. Change/update the activity's details. For a complete list of the fields and their meanings for each activity type, see the "Activity Details screen" reference topic.

    Note: You can change most fields when editing an activity - except the activity type. If you need to change the activity type, delete the old activity and create a new one. You cannot change the template once you have edited the instance that is linked in the activity. Similarly, you need to delete the old activity and create a new one.

  4. To set a reminder for appointments, use the Reminder fields. More Info:triangle.gif

  5. Contacts linked to the activity appear in the Contacts section. You can view, add or remove contacts in this section. More Info:triangle.gif

  6. If the activity is a correspondence activity, the Template section will be visible and the fields editable. More Info:triangle.gif

  7. Any notes associated with the activity appear in the Notes section. You can view, add, modify, print or delete the activity notes.

  8. When your changes are complete, you have the following options:

Note: If any of the selected contacts do not have an email address entered in their record, the Email Address Missing dialog box appears. Click Yes to send the email to the remaining contacts.
