The Search for Contacts Screen

The Search for Contacts screen is generally used when searching for a set of contacts (i.e. a group of contacts matching a specific set of criteria) rather than a single specific contact. Individual contacts can usually be found more quickly via either the Contacts Summary screen or the Contact Look-up.

The Search for Contacts screen is accessed by a number of Top Producer 8i features, and has a slightly different feature set depending on the feature from which it is accessed:

Calendar

From the Add Activity screen or the Activity Details screen, click the Search & Attach Multiple Contacts link.

Note that the version of the screen that appears when accessed from the Activities feature differs slightly from the main screen. See the Search for Contacts Screen (Activities).

Contacts

From the Main Menu bar, select Contacts > Search for Contacts.
From the Contacts Summary screen, click the Advanced Search link.

From the Compose Email screen, click the Show CC and Show BCC links, if desired, and then click the To, Cc, or Bcc buttons.
From the Compose Mass Email screen, click the To: button.

Contact Reports

From the Contacts Landing screen, click the Create Report action link, select a report, then select the Selected Contacts option. Click the Search for Contacts button.
