The Add Closing Form

The Add Closing form provides the means of adding new closings to your Top Producer 8i database. Closings can be created from property records, listing records, or created from scratch.

HOW TO FIND THIS SCREEN
FEATURE	ROUTE
Main Menu	From the Main Menu bar, select Listings > Add Closing.
Contacts	From the Properties Summary screen, click the Create Closing icon. From the Listings/Closings tab in the Contact Record, click Create Closing.
Listings	From the Listings Landing or the Closing Summary screen, select the Add Closing action link. From the Listings Summary screen, click the Create Closing icon.

Closing Property Address	Create Closing from a Listing	Refers to listings pre-existing in Top Producer 8i. MLS search is not available from the Add Closing form.
	Property Type	Required field. Select the property type from the drop-down list. To add a property type to the drop-down list for future use, click the Add link and specify a value.
	Street Address	Only the Street Name field is a requirement. All other Street Address values are optional.
Seller	Name	Required field. Click the Name Details link to display the name breakout in editable form, or simply type the name and click the Tab key to display Top Producer 8i's automatic parsing of it.
Seller	Primary Contact Method	The Primary contact method information will be displayed by default whenever the contact is displayed in a summary table with other contacts.
Buyer	Name	Required field. Click the Name Details link to display the name breakout in editable form, or simply type the name and click the Tab key to display Top Producer 8i's automatic parsing of it.

Closing Information	Status	Required field. When a closing is assigned a status of either Closed/Paid or Fell Thru, the Closing record is frozen. Until then, all fields are editable.
	Dates	Required field. By default, the acceptance day is the current date, the closing date is 2 months out, and the possession date is 3 months out.
	Closing Plan	Every Closing plan in your system is available from this list.
