Adding a Closing

Top Producer 8i enables you to create closings in a number of different ways, all of which flow through the Add Closing form. The topic you are reading now will cover the most common way of creating a new closing.

To add a closing:

  1. Open the Add Closing form. How?triangle.gif

  2. In the Representation section, select the party that you are representing in the transaction.

  3. In the Closing Address section, you have a number of options:

  4. In the Seller section, enter the seller's full name and primary contact method (if applicable).

  5. In the Buyer section, enter the buyer's full name and primary contact method.

    Note: When you manually enter buyer and seller details, you have the option of excluding the entries from your contact database. If you leave the Do not show this contact in my list of contacts check box cleared, the buyer and seller contact information will automatically be added as entries in your contact database when you create the closing record.

  6. Select the Status for the closing.

  7. If you are part of a team or partnership account, you can select the closing's agents. Select the listing and selling agents from the drop-downs.

  8. Select a Closing Plan from the drop-down to ensure that no steps are missed in the course of the closing.
