A contact's primary property is the property record displayed in most search results screens used when sending mailouts or other forms of address-related communications to a contact. It is presumed to be the contact's home address.
The address entered for a contact when the contact is created automatically becomes the contact's primary property. This can be changed in the following ways:
When a contact's primary property is sold and transferred to its new owner, you are presented with the option of either creating a new primary property for the seller-contact or selecting a new primary property from among the contact's other properties.
When you add a property to the contact record, you can define the new property as being the contact's primary property, which will automatically change the contact's previous primary property to an Investment Property.
When you change the Type of Property field (located on the Property Address tab of the Property Details) on one of a contact's Investment or Other properties to "Primary", the existing primary property will automatically change to an Investment Property.
When you delete a primary property and other properties have been added to the contact record, you will be prompted to select another primary property.
Note: A contact's phone numbers and email address information is not associated with the primary property and will not change if the primary property changes.
