If you have a social media account (for example, Facebook or Twitter), you can set up 8i to interact with this account. You can also specify the number of posts/tweets that appear when viewing a contact's social media activity.
Once set up, you can post your own updates and include social media links in your email signature. You can also link contacts to their accounts so you can view their social media activity.
To set up social media integration:
Open the Social
Media Setup subtab. How?
In the Social Media Profiles section, click Add [account type].
Enter the required information (for example, email address and password), and then save your changes.
Note: If adding
your Facebook account, any Facebook pages you have created appear
beside your profile. If a page doesn't appear in the list, click the
Refresh
Facebook List icon.
In the Social Media Activity Settings section, select the number of posts you want to appear when viewing your contact's social media activity.
Click Save Social Media Setup.
Your social media account is now set up in 8i. You can now post your own updates and listings, and link contacts to their accounts so you can view their profile, interests, posts and tweets from 8i.
