When you click Save Draft or Save Draft & Close on the Compose Email screen, the message is saved to the Drafts folder, where you can reopen, edit, and send the message at a later date.
Important: Your Top Producer 8i Inbox is only active if your Email settings are set to use either your @topproducer.com account or another external email account. If you have not done so then the Inbox email application is not relevant to you.
To reopen a draft message for editing and sending:
Select the Drafts folder.
Click the message you want to edit.
The Compose Email screen appears.
Select the recipients
for the email. More Info:
Type a Subject for the email.
Click the Attachments' Browse button to attach a file, such as a picture or document, to the email.
Tip:
Make more room on the screen by
clicking
to
collapse the Recipients section.
Compose the message body. You can use the toolbar commands to format your email message.
To insert additional content into the email:
To remove the text and link that enables email recipients to opt out of your mailouts, clear the Include unsubscribe text check box.
To insert a marketing link at the current cursor position, click Insert Marketing Link. See "Inserting a Marketing Link into an Email Message".
To request that your recipient send you a confirmation after receiving your email, select the Request read receipt check box.
Click:
Send Email to send this email. Top Producer 8i checks the email address(es) to ensure that they have the proper syntax and they do not have an Unsubscribed email status. If there are any recipients with an unsubscribed email status, they are removed from the email and a dialog box displays the individuals on your Unsubscribe list. Review this list and select the check box next to the contacts you want to add back to the email.
Save Draft to save the message to your Drafts folder and continue modifying the message.
Save Draft & Close to save the message to your Drafts folder and return to the previous screen.
