Top Producer® 8i CRM: Tracking the Effectiveness of a Referring Party

The Referral feature enables you to track how effective referring parties have been at turning the referrals you send them into sales, and also the quality of the referrals that they have sent your way. The Referring Party tab of every referral record contains the overall statistics for referrals sent and received from the referring party, in addition to displaying every contact sent to or received from the referring party.

To View a Referring Party’s Statistics:

  1. From the Main Menu bar, go to Contacts and select the sub menu Referrals Summary. This opens the Referrals Summary screen.
  2. Click the Referring Party header in the Referring Party Colum. This will sort the table according to the referral source.
  3. Locate the referring party you want to view and click their row. If the referring party has more than one entry in the table, clicking any row will work. This will open the Referal Record.
  4. From the referral record, click the Referring Party tab.
  5. Then click the the Statistics sub-tab to display statistics based on every contact sent to or received from that referring party.
