Once you have set up your lead providers, alerts can be sent to your mobile phone each time a lead is received in 8i. You can receive lead alerts via email and/or SMS text messages. After receiving a lead alert, the lead appears in the Sales Pipeline portlet on the Dashboard.

To set up lead alerts:
Open the Lead
Setup subtab. How?![]()
Click in the Lead Alert area to switch to edit mode.
Set the Enable Lead Alerts option to Yes.
To receive lead alerts via SMS text messages, complete the following:
Wireless Carrier: Select your provider.
Mobile Phone Number: Specify your area code and mobile phone number (excluding hyphens).
To receive lead alerts via email, specify your Email Address.
If you want to send a test message to ensure your setup is correct, click Send Test Message.
A text message and/or email is sent to the number/email address you specified.
Click Save Lead Alert.
