Adding Lead Providers

If you are signed up for lead-providing web sites, you can add these lead providers to Top Producer 8i, which enables 8i to accept the leads and flow them into its lead management system. Top Producer 8i can accept leads from a wide variety of sources.

Tip: Once you have added your lead providers, alerts can be sent to your mobile phone each time a lead is received in 8i. For more information, see "Setting Up Lead Alerts".

To add a lead provider:

1. Open the Lead Setup subtab. How?

   1. From the [User name] menu in the top right, select Settings. Example:

      

   2. Click the Contacts tab, and then click the Lead Setup subtab.

2. In the Lead Provider Setup section, click the Add Lead Provider action link to open the Lead Provider in-line form.

3. Select the Lead Provider Name.

4. Most lead providers will have pre-defined values for the URL field. If the lead provider you select does not, you will need to manually define the full URL, including the protocol prefix (e.g. http, https, ftp).

5. Enter the username and/or password for your account with that lead provider.

6. If you are a member of a team account, the Account Created For drop-down list will give you the option of selecting which team member you can set up a lead provider for.

7. Click the Add Lead Provider button.
