You can create a postcard for selected recipients using the Create Postcard wizard.
There are over 190 professionally designed postcards available for use with Top Producer LivePost. These postcards are prefixed with "LivePost" in the list of categories. For more information, see "About Top Producer LivePost".
Note: If you are creating a LivePost postcard, the watermark, warning label and low-resolution graphics that appear will be replaced with high-resolution graphics once the print job has been processed.
To create a postcard:
Select the template:
Open the
Select Template
screen. How?
Select the Category of the postcard you want to create from the Postcard Library Look-up portlet drop-down.
Note: A complete list of the Postcard Templates available can be found on the Postcard Library screen.
Scroll through the Postcard Library templates until you have found the template you want. Drag and drop the template into the Postcard Template drop zone which is indicated by the dotted lines.
Tip: To view a larger
image of the postcard, click the Expand
icon next to the
template. In this expanded view, you can click the View
Sample link to view a sample of the postcard.
Click the Next button.
Enter a description and select the recipient(s):
From the Select Recipient screen, enter a postcard Description.
From the Contacts Look-up portlet on the right sidebar, drag and drop the contact(s) you want into the Recipient drop zone (indicated by the dotted lines). Alternatively, click the Search & Attach Multiple Contacts link to use the Search for Contacts feature. For more information on the fields available when performing a search, see the "Search for Contacts Screen (Activities)" reference topic.
Click the Create Postcard button.
Edit the postcard, if desired.
Important: If working with a LivePost postcard, you can only modify page 2. Do not modify or remove page 1 or 3. More Info:
Use the Top Producer Editor to change formatting, style and content.
Click:
Done to save the postcard and close.
The postcard is saved and can be accessed from the Activities Summary screen.
Print Postcards to print the postcards for the selected recipient(s). If you are printing a LivePost postcard, see "Printing Marketing Items using Top Producer LivePost" for instructions on how to print postcards using LivePost.
Tip:
If after printing the postcard you are satisfied with the result,
you can click the Mark Done
link on step 3 of the wizard. This will mark the activity done and
prevent the postcard activity from appearing on the Activities
Summary screen.
