Note: This topic applies to the following system template libraries: Email, Letter, Label, and Envelope. The Flyer, Presentation and Postcard functions are handled in their own sections.
The default, system templates that come with every Top Producer 8i account cannot be deleted or modified in any way. You can, however, make personal copies of any template, default or otherwise, and modify them using the built in Top Producer Editor.
To edit a template:
Open the Marketing Library
landing screen. How?
Click the action link for the template library you want to work with: Email Library, Letter Library, Label Library, or the Envelope Library.
From the Show Category drop-down list, select the category containing the template you want to edit.
Click the name of the template you want to edit to open it in the Top Producer Editor. If the template is a default template, you are prompted to create a personal copy after editing.
Tip: Open multiple templates
for editing by selecting the check boxes beside the templates, and
then clicking Mass Open Templates.
You can do the following:
Use the Top Producer Editor to change formatting, style and content.
Add marketing links (Email templates only).
Replace the displayed template's content with content from another template by clicking Use Template. Select the Category and Template, and then click Apply.
Warning: Only select the Use Template option if you want to remove the current content and use another template as a starting point.
When finished, click the Save & Close button.
To edit a template's name:
Open the Marketing Library
landing screen. How?
Click the action link for the template library you want to work with: Email Library, Letter Library, Label Library, or the Envelope Library.
For personal templates,
the first icon will be the Edit Template
Name
icon. Clicking this icon will bring up an in-line form.
Make your changes and then click Save Name.
