The Contact Look-up portlet offers various views which offer different types of information depending on the needs of the current screen. The view you see in your Look-up will intelligently change depending on the part of the Top Producer 8i application that you are currently using.
If you are accessing the portlet from an area relevant to the contact's general contact information (such as when you're adding an appointment for the contact, for example), you will see the primary address and a majority of the contact numbers and email information. This means that when you expand a contact in the Contact Look-up portlet, you will see:
their name
their picture
their email address and phone numbers
their primary address
their contact type
their family and
friend information (by clicking the Family
& Friends icon)
If you are accessing the portlet from an area where you need to see all of the properties associated with a contact record (such as when you're creating a listing), you will see a property-centric view which allows you to drag-and-drop any of a contact's properties onto your current screen's drop zone. This means that when you expand a contact in the Contact Look-up portlet, you will see:
the contact's name,
the preferred contact method,
the complete address of every property linked to the contact.
If you are accessing the portlet from the Mass Email, Compose Email, or Add/Edit (Email) Activity screens, you will see an email-centered view that allows you to choose from any of the contact's email addresses. When you expand a contact in the Contact Look-up portlet, you will see every email address in the contact's record.
