The Email Setup tab allows you to determine the application you want to use for your Top Producer mail, configure multiple email addresses for use with the Inbox application, or select the Outlook Connector as your preferred email solution (licensing is required for the Outlook Connector).

Controls which application is launched when email functions are selected within Top Producer 8i. If the 3rd party email client option is selected, 8i will launch the default email client on the local computer. If you are using the Outlook Connector, you will make the selection to use a 3rd party email client and then set up your Outlook Connector components. Note that regardless of your settings here, the Top Producer 8i Email application will still be used for Mass Email functions. |

Fields available: Save Sent emails in the Sent Items folder, and Allow my assistants to access my email. Mass emails will be accessible from the Activities tab of every recipient's contact record. Individual emails are stored only in the Sent Items folder. |
Use Top Producer Outlook Connector |
If this option is selected you will also want to select the 3rd Party Email Client option from the Open Email Using field. The Create Security Key field is used to create a unique identifier that you enter in both the Top Producer 8i application and in the configuration of the Outlook Connector component that you install on your desktop machine to work with Microsoft Outlook. This allows the two applications to communicate in a trusted way. |
