The Listing Upload feature turns listing information from a Top Producer database into an industry-standard XML format and sends it to a remote recipient via FTP, HTTP, email, or a direct connection to a RETS server. In most cases it is expected that the XML data format is used as an intermediary step between Top Producer and HTML to be displayed on a website.
Note: The Listing Upload feature is intended for either users with advanced XML/HTML skills or who have access to webmasters/developers. The data exported via Listing Upload is not defined in an end-user viewable format.
The Listing Upload feature should not be confused with
IDX-based solutions. The Listing Upload is a straightforward file transfer, not a connection to a real-time feed of MLS data directly from your MLS database. Once transferred, the listing information is static and will not update unless you perform an update manually from the Listing Record screen. All listing information processing activities take place outside of Top Producer 8i.
