Exporting Microsoft Outlook 97 data to a .CSV file

The instructions shown below are for Microsoft Outlook 97. If the steps provided do not match the version you are using, please refer to the Help menu that is provided with Microsoft Outlook 97.

To export Microsoft Outlook 97 data:

  1. From the main menu in Microsoft Outlook, click File > Import and Export.

  2. Click Export to a file, then click Next.

  3. Select Comma Separated Values (DOS), then click Next.

  4. Select the Contacts folder, then click Next. If the contact information you are importing is in a folder other than the Contacts folder, select that folder now.

  5. Specify a file location and file name with a .CSV extension. For example, the file name may be similar to Outlook contacts.csv. Click OK.

  6. Click Next.

    Note:  On the next window, there's a Map Custom Fields button. Select the Default Map option..

  7. Click Finish.
