Defining a Generic Data Service

3rd party data services allow outside applications such as transaction management services to communicate with Top Producer 8i.

To define a 3rd party data service:

1. Open the 3rd Party Setup subtab. How?

   1. From the [User name] menu in the top right, select Settings. Example:

      

   2. Click the General tab.

   3. Click the 3rd Party Setup subtab.

2. In the 3rd Party Data Services Setup section, click the Add Data Service action link.

3. Enter your User ID (or Security Key) for the application. This will activate the interaction between your 3rd party application and Top Producer 8i.

4. Depending on the service being set up, you may be prompted for a password in addition to your User ID.

5. Click the Add Data Service button.
