Guidelines provide you with a way to align objects and page elements on the page. Guidelines are horizontal and/or vertical dotted lines that appear across the page within the Top Producer Editor, but won't appear when the template is printed.
Note: This topic does not apply to email templates.
To apply guidelines:
Open the Edit Personal Copy screen.
How?
For presentation templates, click Edit Page. Otherwise, proceed to step 3.
Move your cursor over a ruler and click on the ruler to insert a guideline.
Tip: If Rulers are not visible, or if a guideline does not appear when you click on a ruler, click the Preferences icon and ensure that both the Show Rulers and Show Guides checkboxes are selected.
You can add as many vertical and horizontal guidelines as you want.
To adjust a guideline, hover the mouse pointer over the guideline marker in the ruler). Your mouse cursor will change to a double-ended arrow. Simply click and drag the arrow pointer to adjust the guideline.
To remove a guideline, hover the mouse pointer over the guideline marker on the ruler. The pointer will change to a double-ended arrow. Click the guideline and it will be removed.
