Adding/Copying a Postcard Template

Default system templates that come with every Top Producer 8i account cannot be deleted or modified in any way. You can, however, make personal copies of any template and modify them using the built-in Top Producer Editor.

To create a new postcard template, start by making a copy of an existing template that contains most of the details you wish to have in your new template. You can then further customize this template to match your needs.

Important: If you are copying a LivePost template and want to edit the template after copying, you can only modify page 2. Do not modify or remove page 1 or 3. Page 1 contains the graphic for your postcard, while page 3 contains the LivePost print instructions that are required in order to process your print job. Page 3 will be removed once your print job has been processed.

To copy a postcard template:

  1. Open the Marketing Library landing screen. How?triangle.gif

  2. Click the Postcard Library action link.

  3. Select the category from the Show Category drop-down list and identify the postcard you want to copy. Hover your mouse cursor over its thumbnail image.

  4. From the pop-up, click the Create Copy link.

  5. Enter a Template Name for the new template and select the Personal Category you want to file it under. More Info:triangle.gif

Note: Template names may be duplicated across categories, but the templates themselves are all unique. This means that you can have templates with identical names as long as the templates are in different categories.

  6. Click Save & View Postcard to edit the template, or click Save & Close to return to the Postcard Library screen.
