Keeping Track of Prospecting Activities

Once you begin your prospecting efforts, it's important to keep track of the actions you have taken by marking activities done. You can also record the details from any conversations you have had, and schedule a follow-up call so you can ensure regular communication with the prospect continues.

tip_icon2.gif Tip: Any notes you have recorded, prospecting activities you have marked done, and follow-up calls you have scheduled appear on the Prospect Activity Report. For more information on generating this report, see "Creating a Prospect Report".

To record details from conversations:

  1. Open the Prospect List screen. How?triangle.gif

  2. Click the Add Contact Note PS_add_note.png icon adjacent to the contact you want to record details for.

  3. Specify the note details and then click Save Note.

  4. The note is saved and can be viewed from the Contact Record's Summary tab.

To mark an activity done and schedule a follow-up call:

  1. Open the Prospect List screen. How?triangle.gif

  2. Click the Mark done mark_done_icon.gif icon adjacent to the contact you completed the activity for.

  3. Enter the details of the activity performed:

  4. To schedule a follow-up call, at the bottom of the dialog specify the Description, Date and who the activity is assigned to, if applicable.

  5. Click Save or Save & View Contact Record when finished.
